Hey, I'm Andrew Pattenaude.

I'm a composer, filmmaker, and creative sync manager.

In middle school, I taught myself piano through YouTube, and have since never spent a day in music school. I graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Media Arts Production in 2019. I also represent music from the Primary Wave catalog for sync opportunities in film, tv, ads, and more.

For composing, my approach starts with one belief: a great film score is a musical rewrite of the screenplay. Film music is the invisible main character of any story, and it allows audiences to take the film home with them. I speak the language of cinema, then translate it into sound.

I grew up doing musical theater and loving game shows, which gave me two things I carry into every project: a love of melody that actually sticks, and an appreciation for entertainment that pulls you in and doesn't let go.

(I also once won The Price is Right, but that's a story for another day.)

The music I make is hard to label, so I came up with one myself: "Elevator Music of the Future." Think vintage production music, old-school easy listening, animation scores, ambient, and synthwave all thrown together. Sonic stories designed to score the films playing in your mind...or whatever's coming through an elevator speaker in the 22nd century :)

Between my background in film education, my experience working in the sync industry, and my passion for creating music, I effortlessly bridge the gap between music and visual media.

When I'm not composing, I'm tending to my ever-growing plant collection.
